Just yesterday, I was able to see "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum" at the Shakespeare Theater in Washington, D.C. I knew the play was a comedy, but I had no idea how funny it would be. From the moment the curtain went up, until the very end I found myself laughing. This play was hilarious and would most definitely recommend that you go see it.On the way back I realized something about our school and that is this: that SSSAS is a place that gives its students not only opportunities to learn and be their best, but also have opportunities for extracurricular activities. Earlier in the year, some of the performing arts students had the chance to go to New York City to see Broadway plays.
In the summer, some of our students, will be headed on a trip to Bermuda using math and the stars to navigate the seas. Excursions like these are not just simple trips, they expose us to more than just the Northern Virginia area, and give us a more global view of the world and where education can take us. But like all opportunities, we must first make the choice to seize them. Thanks for reading!
